Need for follow-up survey

A follow-up survey is an essential tool that helps assess the improvement of org health based on eNPS survey report. Follow-up surveys are conducted after implementing corrective measures in the org to combat problematic sections brought to light by eNPS survey.

For instance, the eNPS survey indicated scope for improvement in decision making and communication for a certain L1 leader's org. The survey report motivated corrective actions to help improve the weaker segments in the org. Here, a follow-up survey allows you an opportunity to assess whether the scores have improved or not based on the measures taken in the org.

Creating a follow-up survey

Note: Please ensure that the hierarchy is correct. The tool does not allow the process of survey creation in case of any errors in the hierarchy, like missing managers or cyclic loops.

You can only create a follow-up survey when an eNPS survey's report is published.

Step 1: Go to the survey tab in the left panel.

Select surveys tab to go to previously conducted surveys in the org.

Step 2: Find the completed eNPS survey for which report has been published and click on Create a follow-up option in the Next steps column.

Step 3: After clicking the 'Create a follow-up' option, you will be prompted to review the org hierarchy. You can do so by clicking Review hierarchy option in the pop-up. Once reviewed, restart the follow-up survey journey from Step 1.

If the org hierarchy is correct click on Create survey option to continue.

Step 4: Select the audience for which you want to create a follow-up survey to continue on the follow-up survey journey.

Note: You can select either of the two options in the “Who is this survey for?” option:

1. Employee’s full org

This option allows you to select the entire organization or cherry-pick the various departments under the founders and as specified in your organization hierarchy. Once selected, you can also include the selected manager in the survey by clicking the toggle option on the right side of the page under the Selected manager's section.

2. Employee’s direct reports

Select Employee’s direct reports option if you want only the people reporting directly in the organization chart to the employee.

Step 5: You can now select the question themes that you want to re-assess for the concerned manager's org. You can also add custom qualitative questions to get a deeper analysis. To add custom qualitative question, scroll down to Qualitative Question theme and click on +Add Qualitative question option.

Step 5: You can now select the question themes that you want to re-assess for the concerned manager's org. You can also add custom qualitative questions to get a deeper analysis. To add custom qualitative question, scroll down to Qualitative Question theme and click on +Add Qualitative question option.

xto10x highly recommends including eNPS questions to determine the org improvement score in its complete capacity.

Step 6: Once you finish adding questions, select Preview & Continue option at the bottom to preview the questions. You can also change the order of questions by dragging and dropping them in the list as per your preference.

Step 7: Enter the basic details for the follow-up survey to continue.

Step 8: Preview all the particulars for the follow-up survey and click on Schedule Survey to launch. In case you want to make any additions before launching the survey, you can click on Edit option given against every particular to make changes.
