Calculate the progress on objective by specifying the start and the target values.

A metric is a quantifiable measure that helps track progress in the org to evaluate the performance level of the org.

For instance, to contribute to the business's growth, the quarter's objective is to increase the onboarding of clients from 10 cities to 100 cities in India. The metric that will help us evaluate the performance level would be the number of cities. The progress is calculated automatically based on the start value and target value.

Components of a Metric

1. Metric name: The name of the metric depends on the objective and the quantifiable value that you want to measure.

2. Value: Determine the value for the metric: (i) Number (ii) Percentage (iii) Currency (iv) Time

3. Start: The starting figure of the objective.

4. Target: It is the target figure for the objective that the owner wants to achieve in the org.
