How are visibility rules defined?

There are three types of visibility controls for all Objective and Key Results: Public, Personal and Custom.

  1. Public - Visible to everyone

  2. Protected - Visible to owner, creator, manager and higher up and contributors (optional) if any

  3. Custom - Visible to Creator, Owner, Parent OKR Owners, Custom Employees

Key Points to Note :

  • All objectives and key results are public by default.

  • The owner and creator of the objective will always have visibility.

  • The Key Result will cascade the privacy settings of the parent objective, but the owner of the Key Result can edit the privacy settings.

  • The owner of the parent objective will always have visibility for all the Key Results.

  • If Organisation Hierarchy is added, all three visibility controls - Public, Protected, Custom - appear. When Org Hierarchy is not added in 10xGoals, only Public and Custom Options appear. Users can define visibility by selecting employees one by one.
