Fill reviews and give final rating

Note: Depending upon the process being followed at your company you will have to fill reviews under 1 or more of the following categories- Objectives, Competency, Functional Skills and Open Questions.

Steps for filling reviews broadly follow the same workflow as specified below:

Step 1: Click on the category tab - Objectives, Competency, Functional Skills, and Open Questions - that you want to review.

Step 2: View each category with its associated metric and specifications.

Step 3: View all the previous feedbacks, responses by reviewee and reviewee's peers by clicking on the expand button icon to view additional reviews.

Step 4: Fill in the review for the particular attribute. You have options to format your text (Bold,Italics and Underline) and add emojis as well.

Step 5: Scroll down and repeat the above mentioned steps for the next category.

Objective Review

All the objectives that were submitted as part of the appraisal process are visible here .You can skim through the objective details, its progress and the weightage assigned. As part of the manager review process you can:

  • provide a rating against an objective.

  • provide answer for the question ->"What went well and what could have been improved"

As a manager it is a good practice to give objective reviews to the reviewee to present your perspective.

To fill a Manager objective review:

Click on More Details option against listed Objectives and their metrics, progress, status and weights to access a detailed progress for the following:

  • Check-ins: This tab will show you all the check-ins associated with the objective and progress graph.

  • Activity: You will see all the activities related to updates associated with a particular objective in this tab.

You can view the previous feedbacks and responses and provide a rating to conclude.

Competencies Review

All the Competencies that are expected in the reviewee's role are visible here which are defined by your organisation . As part of the manager review process you can:

  • provide a rating against each competency.

  • provide answer for the question ->"How did <Name of the reviewee> perform on this competency?"

The workflow for filling a Competency Review is same as specified above.

Functional Review

All the functional skills that were uploaded by the reviewee and approved by you before the start of the review process are visible here. As part of the appraisal process you need to

  • provide comments against each functional skill.

The workflow for providing functional review is same as specified above.

Open Questions

As part of the appraisal process you need to

  • provide comments against each open question.

  • provide a rating against each open question(if required) .

The steps for filling Open Questions are same as above.

Review and Ratings

After completing the above mentioned reviews as a manager you need to follow the steps as specified below:

Step 1: Click on summarize in bottom right.

Step 2: Click on Response tab to glance the comments provided by the reviewee and peers of the reviewee.

Step 3: Click on Ratings tab and provide final overall rating and overall performance related comments.

Step 4: Recommend promotion if you believe the reviewee deserves it.

Step 5: Suggest areas of improvements to the reviewee.

Best Practices

  • Be specific and provide examples

  • Refer feedbacks to help gauge the performance

  • While writing reviews try to be as objective as possible.
