Survey results often raise more questions than answers - Why are some scores so low? What exactly did the organisation miss that resulted in employees feeling a certain way? HRBPs frequently spend hours manually analyzing reports to understand why scores are low or what issues specific cohorts are facing, with the added risk of missing critical insights.

The Quick RCA feature solves this problem by enabling instant Root Cause Analysis for any score on the Heatmap or Deep Dive pages of the survey report. It offers an interactive and intelligent view through multiple widgets that allow users to drill down by cohort, theme, or question, and uncover the full story behind the numbers.

Key Widgets & Features

1. Trend Overview

• Visualizes score trends over time across themes or questions

• Enables quick spotting of recurring issues or positive momentum

2. Theme-wise Performance

• Highlights scores across all organizational themes

• Tracks how sentiment around themes has changed over time

3. Cohort-wise Performance

• Shows the score for each cohort (e.g., department, tenure, gender)

• Displays change from the last survey

• Helps pinpoint which groups are struggling or improving

4. Question-wise Performance

• Presents detailed scores for individual survey questions

• Useful for isolating specific issues or strengths

All tables are auto-sorted in ascending order to surface the lowest-performing areas first.

5. Qualitative Insights & Anecdotes

• Surfaces positive and negative verbatim comments related to each theme or question

• For eNPS, this helps explain promoter and detractor sentiment

• For other themes/questions, this highlights specific employee concerns or appreciation

Using Score Deep Dive from the Heatmap

• Hover over any score on the heatmap to open a tooltip

• Tooltip displays quick-glance tables:

  • Cohort-wise Performance (for all themes)

  • Theme-wise Performance (for eNPS)

  • Question-wise Performance (for all themes)

• Click "Detailed Comparison" in the tooltip to open a side panel with:

  • Trend Overview

  • Qualitative Insights & Anecdotes

You can also click on any row in the tables to go deeper into that specific cohort, theme, or question.

Use the breadcrumb trail at the top of the screen to navigate back to previous views.

To explore insights in more detail:

• Click on any cell in the Deep Dive table to view targeted insights for a specific theme or question across any selected cohort (e.g., department, function, sub-department, or a combination).

• This opens a focused drawdown view, showing performance breakdown, trends, and qualitative feedback for that specific cohort and theme/question.
