Fill reviews and give final rating

Note: Depending on your company’s process, you may be required to complete reviews in one or more categories - Objectives, Competencies, and Open Questions.

Steps for Filling Reviews:

  1. Click on the relevant category tab - Objectives, Competency, or Open Questions that you want to review.

  2. Review the category details, including associated metrics and specifications.

  3. Expand the section to view previous feedback, as well as responses from the reviewee and their peers.

  4. Fill in your review by providing a rating and a comment (as applicable). You can format your text and add links if required.

  5. Click on Analyse Response to apply the SBI framework, and update your comment based on the recommendations provided.

  6. Repeat the process for each category.

Objective Review

View all submitted objectives along with their details, progress, and weightage. As a manager (if applicable), you can:

  • Give a rating for each objective.

  • Provide a comment based on “What went well and what could have been improved?”

To fill a Manager Objective Review:

  1. Click More Details to see metrics, progress, and status.

  2. Check the Check-ins tab for progress and the Activity tab for updates.

  3. Review past feedback, then add your rating and comments.

  4. Click on Analyse Response to apply the SBI framework, and update your comment based on the recommendations provided.

Competency Review

All role-specific competencies defined by your organization are listed here. As a manager (if applicable), you can:

  • Provide a rating for each competency.

  • Answer: “How did <Reviewee’s Name> perform on this competency?”

The workflow for filling a competency review is the same as for Objective Review.

Open Questions

As part of the appraisal, you need to:

  • Provide comments for each open question.

  • Give a rating (if required).

The workflow for filling Open Questions is the same as for Objectives and Competencies.

Final Ratings

Once you’ve completed all other sections, follow these steps:

  • Open the Response tab to view comments from the reviewee and peers.

  • Provide the overall rating for the reviewee.

  • Answer the single question on overall performance.

  • Use Analyse Response to identify missing elements of the SBI framework and refine your comments.

  • Recommend a promotion and promotion justification question (if applicable).

  • Answer the training needs question for the reviewee (if applicable).

Best Practices

  • Be specific and include concrete examples.

  • Refer to previous feedback to better assess performance.

  • Keep your reviews objective and unbiased.

  • Use the SBI Framework (Situation–Behavior–Impact) via Analyse Response to structure feedback more effectively.

  • Leverage the AI Summary feature to review key insights and ensure your comments are comprehensive and consistent.
