Confidential Surveys

A Confidential Survey is a survey type where individual participant responses can be accessed by specific personas within the organization while retaining anonymous to individuals

In a confidential survey:

  • Admins and HRBPs can view individual-level responses (including respondent identity, where applicable).

  • Managers and Leaders can still only see anonymized, aggregated results.

  • Employees are clearly informed who can access their responses before they begin.

  • All access and downloads are controlled and logged for audit purposes.

Why Confidential Surveys?

Organizations often face a difficult balance when running surveys:

  • Employees need psychological safety to share honest feedback.

  • HR teams need actionable insights to responsibly intervene when serious issues arise.

Until now, surveys operated with a single assumption of full anonymity. While this protects employee identity, it can limit the organization’s ability to:

  • Follow up on critical concerns

  • Address harassment or misconduct signals

  • Escalate high-risk situations

  • Provide targeted support where required

Confidential Surveys has been introduced to structured and transparent way to bridge this gap.
