Act As for Reviews
The Act As feature in the Performance Reviews module allows authorized users to temporarily access the Reviews dashboard as another employee.
This ensures review cycles are not delayed due to unavailable managers or pending leadership inputs.
Problem Statement
During critical review windows:
Managers are frequently unavailable.
L0/L1 leaders often refuse or delay logging into the platform.
Review forms remain incomplete.
Review cycles stall.
Data integrity and timelines are impacted.
Who Can Use This Feature?
Act as access is available only within the Performance Reviews module and is restricted to:
Performance Admins
Can Act As any employee in the organization.
HR Business Partners (HRBPs)
Can Act As employees only within their assigned administrative span.
Access outside their span is automatically restricted.
HRBP access can be disabled upon request via the Customer Success team.
How to Act As Another User
Steps to enter the Act As view:
Go to the Reviews Module.
In the top-right corner, click View As.
Select Another Person.
Search for the employee’s name.
Click Apply Changes.
Once Act As is active:
You will have the same Reviews dashboard view as the selected user.
You can complete pending review forms on their behalf.
You can submit ratings and feedback as required for the cycle.
All permissions will reflect according to the impersonated user's access.
Note: Act As applies only to the Performance Reviews module. You cannot access other modules as that user.
Exiting Act As view
To return to your original account view:
Click on Exit this view on the top of your screen.
Audit & Compliance
For transparency and accountability:
Every Act As action is logged in the backend.
The system records:
The actual logged-in user (Actor)
The impersonated user (Target)
Timestamp and actions performed
These logs are accessible to the Customer Success team for compliance or dispute resolution purposes.
